Screening of Greek wheat landraces for their yield responses under arid conditions
The present study was a part of a long time screening experiment that includeda high number of wheat landraces (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivated in Greece, andfocused on the agronomic point of view and the drought adaptation for some ofthese landraces. One of the most acceptable ways for the assessment of droughtresistance is the examination of yield and yield components in different waterregim...
متن کاملAntimicrobial Action of the Leaf Extract of Moringa Oleifera Lam.
The ethnolic extract of the leaves of Moringa oleifera Lam. (Fam. Moringaceae) was tested for antimicrobial activities against Gram Positive - Bacillus cereus, Bacillus subtilis Staphylococcus aureus, Sarcina lutea: Gram negative - Escherichia coli and Acid fast Mycobacterium phlei. Significant antimicrobial activity of the extract was found in this study.

متن کاملComparative role of neem seed extract, moringa leaf extract and imidacloprid in the management of wheat aphids in relation to yield losses in Pakistan
Wheat being staple food of Pakistan is constantly attacked by major wheat aphid species, Schizaphis graminum (R.), Rhopalosiphum padi (L.) and Sitobion avenae (F.). Due to concern on synthetic chemical use in wheat, it is imperative to search for alternative environment- and human- friendly control measures such as botanical pesticides. In the present study, we evaluated the comparative role of...
